The DTA Foundation offers non-profit organizations the chance to win $25k grants to start innovative oral health pilot projects. We're specifically looking to provide "seed funding" to start "pilot projects" that show potential to become sustainable and scalable after we help get the project off the ground. Please note that we do not provide funding for ongoing programs, only new projects.

Examples of past funded projects can be found in our 2025 Annual Report: https://dtafoundation.org/about-us/2025-annual-report/

Projects will be evaluated by our Grants Committee each spring, primarily on 3 dimensions: innovation, sustainability & scalability, and improving access to oral healthcare for underserved populations.

Thanks to the generous support of the Gary & Deborah Steinberg Dental Assistant Scholarship, in conjunction with the Association of Dental Safety (ADS), the Dental Trade Alliance (DTA) Foundation is proud to offer Dental Assistant scholarships for students enrolled/accepted into a US-based Dental Assisting program. One of the goals of the Gary & Deborah Steinberg Dental Assistant Program is to help elevate the very important professional role that a Dental Assistant plays in the dental practice of today. Please note that the focus of this scholarship is attaining successful graduation from a Dental Assistant school with a strong understanding of the important function that the Dental Assistant plays in the area of infection control and patient safety.

This is a 2-part scholarship:

Part 1: Scholarship to complete Dental Assisting program. ($2,500 or $5,000)

Part 2: Scholarship to complete the ADS Infection Control certificate. ($500 value)

Note: Scholarship recipients are expected to graduate from their Dental Assisting program and complete the ADS Infection Control certificate. Any scholarship recipient who does not complete their Dental Assistant program (with a 3.0 GPA or higher) or does not complete the ADS Infection Control certificate (within 6 months of graduation) must return the scholarship funds to the DTA Foundation.

*All applicants will receive complimentary membership to ADS for 1 year.
